How to Play 3 Card Rummy (Betsoft)

The 3 Card Rummy uses a standard deck of fifty-two cards with no jokers. The virtual dealer mandatorily shuffles them at the beginning of each hand.

The aim is to get fewer points in three cards than the dealer.

Scoring is done according to the following rules:

    • Cards from deuce to ten - at face value;
    • Halves, Ladies, Kings - 10 points;
    • Aces - 1 point;
    • Any pair - 0 points;
    • Any three cards of the same face value - 0 points;
    • Two cards of the same suit increasing in face value - 0 points;
    • Three cards of the same suit increasing in face value - 0 points.

    You can play only one hand. The base ante bet can range from 1 to 100 credits. A bonus bet is also accepted, which is described below.

    Game play

    It will be easier to understand the rules of three-card rummy by following the gameplay step by step.

    1. First, the player makes an ante bet. The side bet is optional. He is then dealt three open cards. The dealer deals three cards to himself, but the customer does not see any of them.
    2. The player evaluates the strength of his combination and then has to make a decision:
    3. So, if he does not fold, he remains in the game. The dealer reveals his cards and counts his points. If he has more than 20 points, he is considered not to have qualified. In this case, the customer is paid out immediately for one ante and one bet.
    4. If the dealer has 20 or fewer points, he compares his points to the player's points. The one with fewer wins.
    5. If the gambler loses, he forfeits both bets. If the gambler wins, the ante payout is 1:1, and for the raise bet, it is calculated based on the sum of points:

      For more details, please refer to the game's help section.

      Continue the game by raising one ante.

      • 0 points - 4:1
      • 1-5 points - 2:1
      • From 6 points - 1:1
      The developer has updated the interface, so the game looks modern even years after release.

      Bonus games

      As mentioned above, in addition to the ante, you can make a side bet in 3-card rummy. It is accepted on a special field marked Bonus Bet.

      The bet is paid if the player's cards form one of the following combinations:

      • 11-12 points - 4:1
      • 7-10 points - 1:1
      • 1-6 points - 2:1
      • 0 points - 25:1
      • 0 points - 25:1
      • Ace-2-3 of the same suit - 100:1
      . In other cases, the bet loses. It operates independently of Ante and Raise.

      Frequently asked Questions

      ❔ What is the player's goal in 3 Card Rummy?

      The main objective of the 3 Card Rummy game is to assemble a hand with fewer points than the dealer, with each participant receiving three cards from a standard 52-card deck.

      🤔 How is the scoring for cards in the game 3 Card Rummy?

      In 3 Card Rummy, the cards have the following values for scoring: Ace always counts for one point. Cards from twos to tens are worth the number of points corresponding to their face value. All "pictures" are worth ten points.

      🙍‍♂️ When does a dealer qualify in a 3 Card Rummy game?

      In 3 Card Rummy, for play to continue and bets to be played, the dealer's hand must qualify, that is, score twenty points or less. If the dealer fails to qualify with twenty-one points or more, your additional Raise bet is returned to you, and the original Ante bet is paid as a one-to-one win. If the dealer does qualify, the hand with the lower score wins.

      🙋‍♂️ What decisions can a player make after receiving cards in the game 3 Card Rummy?

      After receiving your three cards and seeing their point totals, you must choose between two options in the 3 Card Rummy game. You can choose to Fold, which means you lose your original Ante bet, and that's the end of the round for you. The alternative option is Raise, where you place an additional bet equal to your original Ante bet to continue the game and compare your hand to the dealer's.

      🍀 What is Bonus Bet in the 3 Card Rummy game?

      Bonus Bet in 3 Card Rummy is an additional bet that you can make at the same time as your main Ante bet before the hand starts. This bet wins if your hand has a very low score, usually twelve points or less, regardless of what the dealer's score is and whether you have won the main game. The payout on this bet can be high, but it is important to remember that it is played separately from the main game.

      👛 How are winning bets paid in the 3 Card Rummy game?

      If you win a 3 Card Rummy game (i.e., your score is lower than the qualifying dealer's), your initial Ante bet is always paid as a one-to-one win. The payout on the Raise bet depends on how low your final score is: on very low scores, such as zero or one, it may pay a higher payout, such as four to one, and on other winning scores, it may pay out as one to one.
