In Penalty Duel by BGaming, you can be a goalkeeper or a soccer player who needs to shoot a penalty kick. The player has to choose a section of the goal to defend (or to shoot at). In general, the rules are very simple and completely based on the randomness factor. I liked the game: it's brightly drawn, the controls are simple and intuitive. But in an hour and a half Penalty Duel bored me - it's too monotonous.
Any honest casino is bound to have games from BGaming - as it's a large and well-known provider. But scammers also have content from this manufacturer. To play Penalty Duel and not to worry about your money - choose already verified casinos. Our experts spend time and effort on checks, so gamblers only have to use the ready list.
When an unfamiliar game piques your interest, you should first play it for free, and then decide whether it's worth spending real money on.
To that end, we've embedded a demo version of Penalty Duel at the top of the page. You don't need to go to other casino sites to run it, and you don't need to register anywhere.
If you like the demo and want to test your luck in a real-money game, we've prepared a Casinoz list for that. It is located at the end of the review. All the casinos that have been included in it have already been tested for honesty, and they definitely have Penalty Duel.
In Penalty Duel, the player has to play beach soccer. You can try on the roles of goalkeeper or kicker. In both cases we need to select a section of the goal. Each section has its own multiplier and its own chance of a successful bet. The multipliers and odds are distributed logically, just like in real soccer - far corners have low odds of winning and high multipliers, and areas close to the goalkeeper have high odds of winning but low multipliers.
The stake can be set between 0.10 and 50.00. The maximum possible win per 1 bet in kick mode is x15, while in goalkeeper mode it is only x2.5.
Penalty Duel has 3 unusual features:
Gold Round. There is a chance that this feature will activate at a random moment. This can happen in strike mode or goalkeeper mode. When activated, the winnings (if any at the try) will increase by 5 times.
Chance x5. If you activate this feature, the chance of triggering the Gold Round will increase by 5 times and the bet will increase by +50%.
Buy Bonus. Available in strike mode only. You can buy a series of 5 consecutive strikes. The same rules apply as the regular game, so it's just analogous to autoplay.
With normal play, the theoretical chance of return from bets is 96.14% - not insignificant, but not quite up to "super" either. When buying hits via Buy Bonus and activating the Chance x5 feature, the RTP is slightly lower at 96.10%.

If a player has a small deposit, or just wants to play on the plus side, then I advise you to choose only the minimum multipliers and bet on them. Yes, you can lose that way too, but you'll have a better chance to win small wins.

I liked the design and interface in Penalty Duel at first sight. The game is drawn brightly and colorfully. The main set of buttons and information is collected at the bottom. At the top there is only balance (on the left), and 2 buttons on the right - volume and menu. Hidden in the menu is a link to the rules, and 2 sliders to adjust the volume of music and sounds. The playing field looks different in goalkeeper and kicker modes, but the player's task is the same - you have to choose some part of the goal to hit/defend. At the bottom center of the ball rotates (or drawn gloves in a round frame) - this is the button to confirm the bet. To the right of it there is a Chance x5 button, and in goal kick mode there is also a Buy Bonus bet. To the left of the bet button there is a toggle switch with 2 buttons - foot and glove (switches between goal kick and goalkeeper modes). By default, the kick mode is selected. To the left of the toggle switch there is a block for changing the bet. To understand even faster whether there is interest in Penalty Duel, you can follow this list:
Try to play in demo mode as a goalkeeper and kicker. I personally liked kicking the ball better, also because the multipliers are higher.
Try out the Chance x5 and Buy Bonus features. The Buy Bonus is simple: pay x5 of the bet, and you get 5 autohits. But Chance x5 is better to test - to understand how much the return has changed. You'll have to play in demo mode for at least 10-15 minutes.
I ran Penalty Duel on my computer in the Chrome browser, and then checked out the mobile version on iOS (4th generation iPad Air) and Android (Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro). Since Penalty Duel has a horizontally stretched interface, I enjoyed playing on a tablet more and kept my phone in tablet orientation. I didn't notice any disadvantages of the mobile versions - the game launched quickly, animations worked smoothly, and the controls were comfortable.
Editor's conclusions: Penalty Duel has an interesting idea and unusual theme, but the gameplay is monotonous. I didn't find any obvious flaws, but personally I got bored with Penalty Duel during the testing.
