Expert opinion

In September 2022, Gamzix released their analog of the notorious Aviator with almost the same design. They didn't think about the name for a long time and called it Pilot. If you have already played "airplane" crash games, then this one will not surprise you with anything new: an airplane flies on the field, and during the flight the multiplier grows. Be able to withdraw your winnings while the airplane is still flying and your bet will win. In general, the game is not bad, but experienced gamblers have probably already played something similar.

How to Play Pilot (Gamzix)

The game is divided into rounds, in each of which an airplane takes off into the sky. It stays within the screen for a random time, after which it accelerates and flies out of bounds. While the plane is on the screen - continuously growing multiplier, which can be withdrawn. When the plane flies away, the round ends and players who have not withdrawn their winnings up to that point lose their bets. Note: the multiplier grows very quickly. On the one hand this is a plus - the round goes by quickly. On the other hand - I couldn't keep track and click on the multiplier I wanted (when I wanted to withdraw a low multiplier). Rounds follow each other with a break of a few seconds. A player can skip rounds - that is, they don't have to participate in every round. Bets are accepted during the active round and during the break. The winnings can be withdrawn in full or half at first. That is, there are 2 Cash out buttons, the player can click first on Cash out 50% on a low multiplier, and the second half to hold on for a bigger win.

It is possible to choose a bet within 0.20-100.00, and win no more than 10,000 for 1 round.

RTP, Volatility & Hit Frequency

For everyone who wants to play in the plus side, Pilot should be liked due to its high return. The RTP here is 96.50%, which is already above average (although there are crash games with a higher return percentage).

Strategy: How to Win

In crash games it usually makes sense to withdraw small (up to x1.30) winnings. However, in Pilot it won't be easy, because the multiplier grows very fast, and auto withdrawal works only on multipliers over x10. That is, in practice the "low-risk" limit of multipliers passes very quickly.

But there is a partial withdrawal, which can be used: that is, make a bet, quickly withdraw half of the winnings for diversification, and leave the second part of the bet in the game and wait for a slightly larger multiplier. For example, we withdraw half of the winnings at multiplier x1.30 and the other half at x1.70.

Interface

If you have already played any of the classic crash games that were among the first to appear, Pilot's interface will seem familiar: the developers have not added anything new. The main part of the screen is occupied by the playing field, on which the airplane is flying. Above it are shown multipliers, on which the previous rounds ended. In the upper right corner there are buttons ? (rules) and menu, in the left corner - shows the balance. In the menu you can turn on/off the sound, animation, go to the sections with the history of bets, integrity check and game limits. On the left side of the screen there is a table with several tabs: bets for the current round (from all players who are currently playing Pilot), history of results for the last 50 rounds, my bets and leaderboard with record wins. The control buttons are located below the playing field. This block is divided in half, each half = a separate betting block. You can use just 1 or both at once to make 2 bets for 1 round. Each block has several buttons to change the bet (you can also click on the bet amount and enter the value from the on-screen keyboard), a Bet button and 2 switches to turn on/off the autoplay and autoplay modes. For autoplay you can set a multiplier not lower than x10 - that is in practice this function is useless for most players, because such multipliers are rarely achieved. There are no conditions for autoplay to stop, it can only be done manually. In practice, this means that when autoplaying, the bet will be made automatically, and the player will have to press the withdrawal button manually (or set autoplay on a multiplier of x10 or more). If the player takes part in the round, 2 buttons appear in place of the Bet button: Cash out and Cash out 50%. To learn the interface and gameplay of Pilot, it is enough to spend up to half an hour of time:

  1. On any device, open the demo. This can be done at the top of the page or at any casino where Pilot is available.

  2. Play a few rounds at any bet to get used to the interface, to estimate the rate of multiplier growth.

  3. Turn on the auto withdrawal and auto play modes to understand in practice how they work.

  4. If at this stage you haven't made a decision yet, play longer. This way you can also evaluate the payoff.

Mobile Compatibility

Pilot has a mobile version for comfortable play on phones and tablets. It runs directly in the browser and does not require installation, and the interface automatically adjusts to the size and orientation of the screen. The control is optimized for touch input, so all elements are convenient to use. When testing on different devices, the mobile version worked stably and without noticeable lags - I ran it on iPad Air 4, Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 and iPhone 12 Pro to check the performance on iOS and Android. It was most convenient for me to play on a tablet or computer, but there will be no problems on phones as well.

Should You Play for Real Money in New Zealand?

What the Casinoz team thinks: it's not the best, but it's not the worst crash game either. It has 2 types of winnings withdrawal (all or half), and this is a big plus - not all games have this feature. The auto withdrawal function is useless in practice, because it doesn't work with small multipliers.

Pros
  • Large range of rates
  • High maximum rate
  • Large maximum winnings
  • There's autoplay
  • Simple interface
  • You can make 2 bets for 1 round
  • You can withdraw half of your bet
Cons

  • No conditions for auto play to stop automatically
