How did you come into the iGaming industry?
By first education I am an engineer — I graduated from Saint Petersburg State Institute of Technology. The wish to build websites appeared back in my university years — I tried to write some HTML, but at the time nothing serious worked out: I started things, dropped them, and could not bring anything to a real result. I moved into web development properly in 2005, and into online gambling in 2006, when I saw that the Russian-speaking segment was overloaded with superficial reviews lacking real expertise. In 2009 I launched Casinoz as a review platform focused on honest assessments and analytics, and in 2013 I launched the English-language Casinoz.club for an international audience.
What makes Casinoz different from other review sites?
The main difference is our own expert team that has been working in the industry for many years — not a collection of operator press releases. We do not publish paid rankings: scores are based on real testing, bonus terms analysis, payout and support quality, and licence verification. The platform covers 7+ locales, which lets us account for the jurisdictional specifics of each region.
Which industry events do you attend?
I regularly attend major industry events — iGB Live! in Amsterdam (since 2013), ICE London, SiGMA Europe in Malta, specialised exhibitions in Germany, and other large industry conferences. This lets me communicate directly with operators, providers, and regulators, see industry trends earlier than they reach public reviews, and stay in contact with those whose products we then assess on the platform.
What advice would you give to a new player?
The most important advice — think. Always ask yourself: who benefits from this? Why am I being offered this? Why does the casino give me a "huge bonus"? Why does the operator send me "exclusive conditions"? Behind every attractive offer in gambling there is someone's calculation — and learning to see that calculation is more important than memorising any rules.
Three concrete practical things. First — only play at casinos with an active licence (Malta, UKGC, Curaçao with verifiable registration) and check it through official registries. Second — read bonus terms before activation: wagering, bet limits, and time frames often turn a great offer into a trap. Third — set deposit and time limits in advance: responsible gambling is a habit, not a reaction to a loss.

The Casinoz team is an editorial board of analysts, reviewers, and translators working with 7+ language markets simultaneously. We have dedicated experts for slots (mechanics, RTP, volatility), bonus programmes, jurisdictions and regulation, and industry news. As CEO I am responsible for the overall strategy, the product, and the technical side of the platform — I have an engineering background and work closely with the development team behind the Casinoz platform itself, not only with content.
